Guiding You Towards Self-Discovery and Healing
At Natania Kobayashi Counselling, I recognize that life’s challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed and isolated, making it hard to open up to others. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or simply feeling burdened, my online therapy sessions offer a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.
Why Choose Online Therapy?
Personalised Attention: In online therapy, you’ll receive one-to-one support that is personalized and tailored to your specific needs and circumstances. Together, we’ll explore the root causes of your challenges, with a focus on keeping you at the heart of the process as we work toward your growth and healing.
Confidential Environment: I follow strict confidentiality guidelines, with your privacy as my top priority. This ensures you can express your thoughts and feelings freely, without worry of judgment or a breach of trust.
Empowering Change: With evidence-based therapeutic training, I support clients in uncovering unconscious patterns, developing new perspectives, and empower them to make positive changes in their lives.
What to Expect in a Session
Initial Consultation: The first step in our therapeutic journey is an initial 15-minute phone consultation, where I will briefly get to know you, your background, and your goals for therapy. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions and discuss what you hope to achieve.
Ongoing Support: Online sessions are 50 minutes long and are scheduled weekly, with a recommendation of a minimum of 6 initial sessions. Together, we’ll work through the challenges you’re facing, tailoring the sessions to your specific needs based on Psychodynamic and Person-Centred approaches.
Regular Check-ins: I’ll regularly check in with you to ensure our sessions continue to align with your changing goals and needs.

FAQs
Q1: What are the benefits of online versus in-person therapy therapy?
A1: If you’re wondering if online counselling is for you, a couple things to consider are; no travel time and you can choose where you feel most comfortable doing the session remotely.
Q2: Is everything I share in therapy confidential?
A2: Absolutely. Confidentiality is a fundamental part of the therapeutic process, and I adhere to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical codes and regulations.
Q3: How do I know if online therapy is right for me?
A3: Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially figuring out what service works best for you. Consider how comfortable you are with technology and how you feel during video calls. Our initial consultation offers a goof opportunity to explore any concerns for you to decide if online counselling feels right for you.
Q4: What if I feel uncomfortable seeing myself on the screen?
A4: There are a couple options for you if seeing yourself on the screen may be off putting. There is an option where you can minimise your image so that you do not have to look at it during sessions, alternatively you could have sessions with your camera off. Many people do find that after a few sessions they no longer notice their small image at the bottom of the screen and can focus on the sessions.
Q5: Can I do online therapy if I’m not alone at home?
A5: Having therapy when you’re worried you can be overheard can make it difficult to gain the full benefit. If you feel safe and trust that you will not be disturbed or overheard then it is no problem.
Q6: What programme do you use for online therapy?
A6: I currently use Google Meet. I will email you to confirm the day and time of our session then will send you an invite via email once payment is received for our initial session. Thereafter, I will send weekly invites for subsequent sessions.
